2024 Sustainability Report: transforming the chocolate industry.

At Machu Picchu Foods, we reaffirm our leadership in sustainability with significant progress across our three management pillars: social, environmental and economic.

Corporate governance and financial management: trust and sustainable growth

In 2024, we consolidated our institutional and financial management to continue growing with purpose.

  • We were recognized by ADEX as the 2024 Outstanding Agroexport Company of the Year.
  • We enhanced our traceability and compliance systems, ensuring transparency throughout our value chain.
  • We exported to more than 30 countries, driving sustainable growth through innovation and market diversification.

These results reflect our commitment to a solid, transparent and long-term business model. We believe that sustainability begins with trust, which is why we work every day to create shared value with our partners, clients and cocoa communities.

Environmental management: renewable energy and regenerative cocoa

We continue shaping a production model that is more responsible with the environment.

  • We implemented photovoltaic systems in 16 collection centers, reaching 41% renewable energy in our Callao and Pisco plants.
  • 95 cocoa farmers were certified under ROC standards, achieving the production of 300 tons of regenerative cocoa.
  • We verified our Carbon Footprint under the ISO 14064-1:2018 standard.
  • We conducted the first Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of Machu Picchu Foods’ organic chocolate.

Each environmental initiative reaffirms our purpose of reducing our footprint and promoting regenerative practices throughout the value chain. We believe that preserving the planet is a shared responsibility, and we work to ensure that every cocoa bean reflects that commitment.

Social management: education, women’s leadership and rural development

We continue investing in human development and the well-being of our cocoa-growing communities:

  • We inaugurated three Wiñay schools, benefiting more than 350 children.
  • Through Nuwa Muun, we achieved a 19% increase in productivity versus 2022 year.
  • We enhanced women producers’ leadership within the cocoa value chain.
  • We trained more than 700 farmers in international sustainability standards.
  • We promoted deforestation-free production in our areas of influence.

Each story behind these achievements is a testament to the power of collaboration. Our work with cocoa farming communities drives inclusion, education and equity, creating real opportunities for the families behind Peruvian cocoa.

A commitment that shapes the future

Each of these achievements reflects our vision of comprehensive sustainability: a balance between economic growth, social responsibility and environmental care.
